Avoid TSTR Syndrome

Are your characters TSTR? That is, Too Sophisticated To Relate. The glitz and glamour of fame, fortune, and prestige is very tempting for writers, who are often starving artists sometimes living vicariously through characters. But you must keep them relatable or risk losing your readers. The age of wealthy family sagas is over. Readers want real more than anything.

"Having submitted my legal crime trilogy to the site I was delighted and surprised to receive an email one day that the first part in the series, A Model Murder, had been featured as Talent in the Spotlight. Thank you humanmade.net for your great support for authors."
