Juan R. González Álvarez

Biography

My full name is Juan R. González Álvarez, but you can just call me Juan.

I studied physics and chemistry at the Universidade de Vigo. I worked in scientific organizations such as the Ilustre Colegio de Químicos de Galicia and was a research assistant at the Instituto de Investigaciones Marinas (IIM-CSIC) in the biogeochemistry and hydrodynamics of estuaries, participating in several congresses, reports, and monographs. I have also conducted research on the nature of heat, have developed my own formulation of quantum mechanics (which is somewhat between the Wigner-Moyal and Bohm formulations), and an alternative to the dark matter model.

I am now developing a multiscale dynamics for the unified description of physical, chemical, and biological processes. I write technical and popular books and a free newsletter.

Books by Juan R. González Álvarez

Review Of The God Equation (Michio Kaku) by Juan R. González Álvarez. Reviews of popular science. Book cover
This is an unusual book. It is a book in response to another book. Review and analysis are an important part of scientific research. This is an in-depth technical review of “The God equation: the quest for a theory of everything” by the theoretical physicist, futurist, and science popularizer Michio Kaku. The bottom line is that Kaku rewrites the history of physics, exposes his misconceptions about the foundations of established physical theories —including general relativity, thermodynamics, and quantum field theory—, presents a distorted and unfair view of string theory, and reveals a lack of familiarity with hot topics in physics research.
