Juxtaposed Darkness is a dark poetry book. The book examines feelings of desperation and futility stemming from depression and self-injury. The poems are a fusion of darkness and a small bit of hope.
I have always been a fan of the macabre. A love of the macabre mixed with the woes of depression, panic disorder, and self-injury.
I have written poetry since my youth and have found that the written word has aided in dealing with feelings I did not know how to express.
I live in San Antonio, Texas. I have suffered from depression for decades and have found that the older I got, the less I was able to pretend there was nothing wrong. I am a work in progress.
