Biography

Cynethea Cunningham is a poet, author and artist. She is gifted with creativity and expresses it through various mediums. She learned how to sew, crochet, craft, and make dolls on her own. Writing is her favored means of expressing thoughts, imagination, and beliefs. She particularly enjoys writing poems that tell a story, and she believes that Christian poetry is a powerful and effective way to share your faith. Cynethea holds a Bachelor of Religious Education degree from United Christian College (District of Columbia). She was a missionary at the ZUO Mission Station in Liberia, West Africa, from 1985 to 1988, where she taught elementary education and Bible, as well as serving as the mission school registrar and dean of girls. Working with children's ministry and making a difference in the lives of young people has been an important part of her ministry since accepting Christ as Savior and responding to His call to serve. Her first book, "Growing in Christ Steps to a Firm Foundation" a Bible Study Workbook, was released in 2019 as a result of her ministry to the numerous youth she has had the privilege to teach and share God's Word with. Cynethea and Ward have been married for 46 years and have been in Christian ministry together for 43 years. Andre', their eldest son, lives in Maryland. Brandon, their youngest son, is at home with the Lord.
