Biography

Mike Reuther is the author of "Nothing Down" as well as the mystery, "Return to Dead City" and "Write the Darn Book", a self help guide for aspiring authors.

Mike became a writer because he was first a reader. Books such as "Catcher in the Rye" and the works of John Steinbeck, James T. Farrell and Thomas Wolfe were big early influences. He has been writing his entire adult life. With his goal long set on becoming a published novelist, he endured the usual setbacks that writers face - rejection after rejection. He saw a vast window of opportunity with ebooks and print on demand and opted to go that route several years ago.

He writes a blog that he uses to help aspiring authors realize their own dreams of writing books.

He is a veteran newspaper reporter with many years covering politics, business, police, health care and other issues. His work has appeared in the "Philadelphia Inquirer", "Buffalo News", "Pittsburgh Tribune Review", and other publications. Over the years he has worked as a freelance writer, salesman, security guard, and U.S. Census worker. He is a graduate of Bloomsburg University and holds a master’s degree in Journalism from Penn State University.

When he leans left politically, he is not a liberal. He voted for Obama is a bit disappointed in the the president's administration.

He likes the outdoors and spends as much time as he can fishing. An avid baseball fan, he continues to play the game in an older men's league, although at fifty-five he realizes his best playing days are in the rear view mirror.

He makes his home in central Pennsylvania with his wife and children.
