Biography

Having lived in Wales, Canada, and West London, I am now settled in Buckinghamshire, where my husband and I live in a lovely spot facing an ancient woodland – great for walks and my attempts at running!

I am the mother of three grown up children and Nana to two Grandchildren who are the sunshine in every day.

Do you know the story about the Grandmother in America who found the strength she needed to lift a car when her Grandson was trapped? I know I could do that. There is not a shred of doubt in my mind, or in my heart. I’d lift a truck to keep my Grandchildren safe. They are precious treasures; they are the future.

I love to laugh. I make a conscious decision every day to be as happy as I can be. I believe if you look for the joy in life you will find it…and laughter will follow. Put my family together for more than five minutes and laughter will erupt. My sister and I have frequently been in such uproarious hysterics in Costas coffee shop or Starbucks that I’m amazed we haven’t been thrown out! My sister can make me laugh harder than anyone I know.

I find inspiration in so many things. There are so many wonderful people in this world; courageous people, those who triumph in the face of dreadful odds and adversity, selfless people, those who give their lives in service to others, creative people, those with awesome talent – and the will to share it. I am humbled and inspired so often.
