Biography

Douglas Freeman has been a self-employed entrepreneur for over three decades. He co-founded his company Ideascape, Inc. with his wife and fellow entrepreneur, MacKenzie. Doug also co-founded four other startups with partners. These included a book publishing company, business documentary production firm, think tank and entertainment development company. Over the years, Doug has adapted his services to market trends and personal interests. His work has included all types of technical and non-technical business, marketing, educational, training, public relations, ghostwriting, media development as well as creative and consulting services. He has served clients ranging from NASA, the U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Department of the Interior and the Armed Forces Network to Intel, Hewlett-Packard, T-Mobile and Southern Company. Additionally, he has worked with scores of startups, small businesses, local government agencies and non-profit organizations. Doug has earned regional and national awards for his technical writing, video scriptwriting and media productions. These include Telly Awards, a NASA Achievement Award and a U.S. Department of Energy Exceptional Public Service Award. His educational videos on entrepreneurship were selected for presentation at film festivals in three countries. This book is the first in a series about solo and micro entrepreneurship and related career topics.
