Biography

I am a lover of Writing and Reading Books as well as Garden Expert who likes to Smell the Roses...and Gardenias...and Heliotrope...

I live on two acres in western Washington and have a large organic garden and huge greenhouse to grow my garden starts from seed. After twenty years here, you'd never know I was strictly a city girl before moving to the countryside. Clearly, it seems I've become an earth muffin.

I was born in Michigan and was the oldest of seven children. I graduated magna cum laude from Whitworth University with a BA in English, but I swear I am not the type to silently correct you. I loved teaching high school English for several years, and was one of those crazy English teachers who recited my favorite poem in a Bronx accent or would wear a blonde wig to class to teach about Transcendentalism.

Before I got my teaching credential, I wore a totally different career hat and provided executive support to a U.S. Congressman, a hospital CEO, and a two-year college President.

Currently, I'm working on several writing projects.
