Fateful Decisions - Book coverFateful Decisions is a historical fiction novel, that is set in the early part of the twentieth century from 1915 to 1946, with a flashback to 1912.
Rachel's decision to marry one of the two men that proposed to her bring about consequences she did not anticipate. Rachel’s great Aunt Victoria advised her to think about the consequences of her decision. Her decision not only affected Rachel, but her family and those that get involved with them for the next thirty years.
The lives of the characters are also impacted by world events like: The Suffragette Movement, The Russian Revolution, Prohibition, The Great Depression, World War -2 and other events, that get intertwined with the lives of the characters and the personal decisions they make to love, betray, forgive and reconcile. The book shows how wars and personal decisions can forever change the lives of individual characters. At the end of the novel, Rachel has to conclude whether she made the right decision to marry the right man after evaluating the consequences of her decision.

Author's Note: 

This book is not only for women, but also for men, as it contains genres like romance, military history, suspense, thriller and murder, which all come under the umbrella of historical fiction. It can also be read by young adults and adults.


About The Author

Trevor D'Silva has a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, M.S. degrees in Engineering Management, and Environmental Engineering, and an Associates degree in Accounting. He has lectured in mechanical engineering and environmental science subjects at various colleges.
