Lodging (book) by M.T. BassLodging — A term to denote the bending of the stalk of a plant (stalk lodging) or the entire plant (root lodging)

While World War II rages on and engulfs every nation on the globe, Sarah and her best high school friend Rebecca can only dream of escaping a dreary, wind-blown existence in their western Kansas farming community to New York, Hollywood or anywhere far, far away -- until their boring, stodgy old hometown fills with handsome young men learning to fly Army Air Corps bombers known as Liberators, and their lives are suddenly filled with temptation and, perhaps, true love.
