Author's Notes

I made up this story for my now high school boys when they were much younger. They loved me reading to them, but I wanted to take them hiking on Alaska’s trails. So I made up an epic adventure with plenty of sword fighting, action, and adventure to keep them interested, and a smart female heroine - because it was my story after all. The story lasted all summer long, along so many wild trails. I always ended on a cliffhanger, which left them begging me to take them hiking again. It took me years to finally write the story down, and my boys helped me edit and improve it – since they were the ages of the main characters.
