About this book

Life is not always a bed of roses. There will always be thorns along the way. The question is, what do we do when we encounter such thorns? Will it tear us apart from our dreams? Or will it strengthen our faith in our dreams?

“The Singing Princess” by Bunnie Colson is one of the best fairy tale stories that children must read. The author also dedicates this book to her children as a reminder to always chase their dreams. Fairy tale stories teach people that no matter what problems they face in life, as long as they believe in themselves and have faith in their dreams, they can overcome them. Just like the author’s life, she didn’t give up on her dreams and life despite the struggles she encountered.

Bunnie Colson's "The Singing Princess" tells the story of Princess Polly, who had such a wonderful voice that she decided to join a competition at Sturton. She made a number of new friends on her way to the competition. She must also escape from the forest's wicked witch. Princess Polly and her newfound friends continue their adventure through the forest, overcoming whatever obstacles they come across. Princess Polly is certain that she can beat the evil witch and win the singing competition with the help of her companions.

Bunnie Colson

It was in this time frame from 1999 – 2004 when I wrote my book, "The Singing Princess". Originally it was not written for publication, but simply a book I wrote for my children to inspire them not to give up on their dreams. It was with the encouragement of my grandson that I elected to have the book published. I do hope you enjoy reading my book, as much as I enjoyed writing it.
