Sounding WatersWhen young Seraphix Heviath escapes the death penalty and flees the town that has scorned her affliction for a lifetime, she is faced with the secrets and sinister reality of the cruel world outside. While the land of Sounding is being plagued by an ancient curse, a scourge of alluring but baneful creature known as Aurochis, she can't help but wonder if the mysterious box left by her grandfather holds any answers.

Meanwhile, Gaius and Pendleton are orphaned in the forests of Sounding. Having already encountered the Aurochis and seeing their homes eradicated, they seek refuge in a new land where there are people, and more urgently, food. The adolescent and steadfast boy leads little “Pen” in an effort to defy all odds and trek across the nation, dreaming of a place to call home. Nearby, Aserias stares out his window and falters on the logic of his feeble bones being able to withstand the relocation to try and escape the anticipated Aurochis attack. Partnered with his best pal, Hobblekin, they delve into trying to solve the riddle of how they can use "Good" to subdue "Evil".

In the tale that intertwines the lives of determined souls on the brink of annihilation, they chance upon unfamiliar faces and uncover strange new worlds. Finding that the Aurochis merely feed on attempts to overcome them, will the unlikely group of exiles, orphans, and nomads band together and best the Aurochis.... or fail like the rest?
