Mike Salazar was born in Fort Worth, Texas and is the youngest of five children. He has worked in the mortgage industry for the last seven years and began his writing career in October 2010. He self published his first book, "A Texas Three Step", in June, 2012. After researching for his book, he has since become an advocate for legalizing religious free polygamy/plural marriage in the United States.
