Juxtaposed DarknessJuxtaposed Darkness is a dark poetry book. The book examines feelings of desperation and futility stemming from depression and self-injury. The poems are a fusion of darkness and a small bit of hope. It is my hope that these words truly provide a peek into my life as one who has been depressed for thirty some odd years. It is also my hope that those who may feel as lost as I, can find comfort in knowing that they are not alone.

About The Author

I have always been a fan of the macabre. A love of the macabre mixed with the woes of depression, panic disorder, and self-injury.
I have written poetry since my youth and have found that the written word has aided in dealing with feelings I did not know how to express.
I live in San Antonio, Texas. I have suffered from depression for decades and have found that the older I got, the less I was able to pretend there was nothing wrong. I am a work in progress.
