Author's Notes

I love writing about some of the beautiful places I can visit easily here in Scotland, especially the lochs, hills and mountains. One of my favourite walks is at Conic Hill by Loch Lomond where the high hillside meets the loch side. Loch Lomond has many small islands and a little boat can ferry passengers out to one or two of these.

This is one of the scenes where Christy and Ross get to know each other again a little better, a day out from their troubles when Christy can forget about the threats while away from the village.
