Bev hadn’t seen her sister Faye in years. She had immersed herself in work. Suffering from burnout it was time to take a break. Bev made the unexpected phone call to her sister. Faye was overjoyed that Bev would be coming for a short visit. Things didn’t run too smoothly for Bev. She was on her way to Faye when her trip ended up being a rough ride. What with having to stop at every garage because she had food poisoning.
Grace had taken on a huge challenge by moving from the city to a ranch with two children. She had her plans in place but things didn’t go as planned. For no rhyme or reason, after having paid her deposit, the power hadn’t been connected. Biding her time, she waited. In the meanwhile they went through unnecessary hardships of every kind. Adjusting her internal clock so that they woke up with the sun, and went to bed the moment it grew dark.
After working with his temp for a week, Phillip realized his secretary was not up to scratch. Rae was super efficient and organized. Her prim and proper dress code didn’t appeal to him, but something about her drew him in. Having set his sights on a young woman in the pub, he felt rather confused. He had never been a womanizer but felt caught in the middle by someone he knew, and a complete stranger.
Appointing an au pair to take care of two young girls sounds like an easy task. But not for Phillip. After interviewing many unsuitable candidates, he had still not appointed anyone. Only one woman sounded right for the position. And he had let her slip through his fingers. Out of desperation, he dialed her number after rejecting her initial enquiry. Thinking it would be easy to set up an appointment with her, he realized she was not a pushover.
The owner of an enterprising bed and breakfast which was always fully booked, Mrs Jeeves lead a busy and exciting life. Her guests checked in and out frequently. As a hands-on owner, it was important that she portrayed the image of a true professional. Something she did with ease. At the same time, keeping her distance was a priority. Fraternizing with guests was unheard of and an absolute no-no.
Living in a small town, Spencer and Claire were bound to bump in to one another. Their first meeting didn’t go off too well. But in more ways than one it served its purpose. She had her lock-up, and he had another rental. The chemistry seemed to sizzle and pop in the air. And they definitely took notice of each other! Life had thrown her a curve ball but she would bounce back. Ray didn’t think he would get a response from his advert he had placed in a magazine for a housekeeper.
Without too much hesitation Amanda turned what could have been a very dull and boring show into an extravaganza. David didn’t realize, but that is exactly what would happen to his life. The extravaganza was about to begin. David had to thank Amanda for the way she had saved the children’s concert. Only that wasn’t his only intention. He knew nothing about her and had never met her before. The feelings and emotions that she had stirred up on first sight made David realize that love at first sight was real. It did exist.

He had sold his business off and retired at the age of forty seven. What more could a man want? Until the day that he spotted Louise McBride. At first, he was oblivious about who she was. Summer knew who he was. But she kept her distance and a low profile. Not being too sure of his feelings for her.
